We can’t wait for Shemekia to bring her mad skills to Carlisle Theatre on November 3. WXPN will rolling out the welcome mat for her…and it is such a nice warm house to perform in!

Told you at XPN festival I would bring you this year Shemekia! Glad i could keep my promise.

Last Friday, I saw Shemekia at the Moods Jazzclub in Zurich/Switzerland. This woman is blessed with a remarkable voice which simply filled the room anytime she wanted to. She had a terrific banter going with the audience all the way through. Shemekia walked into the audience without the microphone and continued to belt out a song. Her backup band was tight and very good. It was simply a fantastic show. I hope to see and hear her again in Switzerland.

We saw Shemekia at the Mohegan Sun Casino last night. Not only was she a fantastic performer, she had grace and char beyond her years. After the show myself, my friend Brian Cantone [a man who suffered a traumatic brain injury many years ago[ and his sister Nancy Cantone, were made to feel welcome and important to her. she let us take several pictures of her, Brian and myself. These are the things memories are made of for Brian. I assure you he will not soon forget the hospitality she showed us. BTW her band was out of sight! Bravo Shemekia and Company, Bravo!!
